E-commerce logistics

What e-commerce logistics services does SBX offer?

SBX stores your products, picks, packs and ships your orders, and manages your returns from two B2C platforms: Corcelles (NE), Switzerland, and Saint-Soupplets, near Paris-CDG, France. Stock is tracked in real time in our warehouse management system (WMS).

Which e-commerce platforms does SBX connect to?

SBX offers 50+ integrations, including Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Amazon and Google Shopping. ERPs and other business systems connect via API: orders, inventory, shipment data and status updates are exchanged automatically.

Can orders ship the same day?

Yes, when possible: our platforms have same-day shipping capabilities. Order accuracy is above 99%.

How are returns handled?

Returns are received, inspected and restocked, and inventory is updated. The process is designed to improve customer retention.

Can I track my inventory and orders in real time?

Yes. Your inventory, orders and shipments are visible in real time, and your customers receive delivery tracking. SBX clients access their account through WMS Login.

Selling in Switzerland and the EU

Does a foreign company need a tax representative to sell in Switzerland?

Yes, if it becomes liable for Swiss VAT and has no seat or permanent establishment in Switzerland: it must appoint a representative domiciled in Switzerland (art. 67 VAT Act). VAT liability generally starts at CHF 100,000 of annual turnover, earned in Switzerland and abroad (art. 10 VAT Act). SBX can take on that role through an entity within the group.

Do I need to set up a company in Switzerland to sell there?

No. With a fiscal representative and a local logistics platform, you sell to Swiss customers without setting up an entity. Appointing a representative does not create a permanent establishment (art. 67 para. 3 VAT Act).

Which duties and taxes apply to goods imported into Switzerland?

Since 1 January 2024, Switzerland no longer levies customs duties on industrial products; agricultural and fishery products are excluded. Import VAT still applies, at the standard rate of 8.1%.

Why does SBX have one platform in Switzerland and one in France?

Switzerland is in Europe but outside the EU customs territory. With a platform on each side of the border, your stock is already in the right territory: your Swiss customers receive domestic deliveries, and so do your EU customers.

Wholesale Hub

What is the SBX Wholesale Hub?

A logistics platform in Switzerland for wholesalers: SBX collects and consolidates purchases from European brands, handles customs, stores the goods, prepares country-specific orders and ships them to stores and distribution centers worldwide.

What is bonded warehousing for?

Goods stay under customs supervision until their next destination is confirmed. A wholesaler can keep stock in Switzerland and release it progressively, according to demand.

Freight and customs

Which transport modes does SBX organize?

Road, air and ocean (FCL, LCL or break bulk), domestic and international. SBX relies on a partner and agent network covering 119 countries and 240+ carriers.

Does SBX handle customs clearance?

Yes. Our licensed team handles customs procedures at origin and destination and follows regulatory changes. Our customs compliance rate is 99.8%.

Technology

Which systems do SBX operations run on?

A warehouse management system built for e-commerce, connected to your platforms and ERP, and CargoWise for transport and customs. Both feed shipment tracking and reporting.

Sustainability

How does SBX measure the CO₂ emissions of my shipments?

Emissions are calculated for each shipment in accordance with EN ISO 14083, the international standard for transport emissions. They are shown from quotation to final invoice.

Can I act on the impact of my shipments?

Yes. Alongside the emissions data, you can choose to contribute to reforestation projects through our partnership with One Tree Planted.
